Dr. Lisa Strickland has loved practicing in the Las Vegas area for over 13 years as an Upper Cervical Chiropractor. In 1997 Dr. Strickland was a Licensed Massage Therapist, working with a NUCCA chiropractor. After witnessing incredible changes in patients from week to week, Dr. Strickland quickly new the next step in her career was to move to Davenport, Iowa to Palmer College of Chiropractic to become a NUCCA Chiropractor. She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2003.
Dr. Lisa’s personal experience as a patient under NUCCA care was a big influence on her decision to go to chiropractic school: “When I was 18 years old, I was in a car accident, in which my car was rear-ended. For treatment after the accident, I went to a chiropractor that I was referred to by a friend. This chiropractor adjusted the traditional way (with popping and cracking). I felt better, but I had to go 4 to 5 times a week for 3 weeks, after the 3 weeks it went down to 3 times a week. Over time, I was put on maintenance care, which meant I got checked once a month. I was never told, if I was having pain to come back sooner than a month. Even after a year of care I still suffered from low back pain and headaches, with not much relief. After starting under NUCCA care, I realized I could live a pain free life again."
Dr. Lisa's passion is understanding the body's natural ability to self-heal and self-regulate when given the appropriate information.
In Dr. Lisa’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband and 2 children. She also enjoys exploring healthy cooking, walking, hiking and beach time.
